Causes of colorectal cancer

I have Stage 3 colerectal cancer and have a Stoma. I suppose like most patients I have given only a sanitised and played down version of my drinking and smoking history.

The truth is that I smoked cigarettes from about the age ot fifteen until I was around 70 and have consistently drunk wine for 50 plus years and quite oftet binge drunk and smoked.

i have little doubt that my cancer is a direct cause of thiis.

My cancer is entirely my own fault and I am writing this in the hope that others will give up or not start on this life style as the treatment for my cancer is dreadful and had I known or appreciated this properly I would have stopped years ago.

Would it be helpful for me to describe in further detail my lifestyle or my current treatment in an attempt to get others to stop? It is clear there is NO safe level of drinking and smoking
