  • Don't worry about going back to the doctor. It's the sensible thing to do.

  • Hello Lisa and thanks for posting

I’m sorry you are worried about a lump on your throat and can understand you wanting to find out more.

I'm afraid we are unable to diagnose or tell anyone if anything is the matter. Symptoms can have straightforward medical explanations such as infection. But only a doctor can make a medical assessment so the best thing to do is to go back and see your GP if your symptoms are not improving. They will assess you and decide whether you need to go for further tests.

I hope you know more about your situation soon. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
