I've been referred by my doctor for a colorectal cancer doctor said I should get app with in two weeks but I am worried I might mis it as Iam due to go away on Thursday for a week i saw my doctor on Monday?
I don't know if your doctor is aware that you are going away, if so hopefully they will have written the dates you are away on the referral form. However, the hospital should contact you soon with an appointment, and they will offer another appointment if you cannot accept the first one. It may mean that you are seen after two weeks but the appointment will be arranged for as soon as possible.
If the hospital tries contacting you by phone and does not get through to you the first time they call, they will try again or may send a letter. If you have not heard anything within the next two weeks, contact your doctor; they should chase it up for you.
