Basal cell carcinoma

I would like to make sure I am doing everything possible to protect myself outdoors now I have been diagnosed with basal carcinoma. The Dermatologist did a good job but I was in shock and it all happened so fast. Is there any advice you can give me as I feel really alone with this and cannot take it in, many thanks.

    I am sorry to hear about your shock at your basal cell carcinoma (BCC) diagnosis. This is a common form of skin cancer that others will have experience in, If you want to hear from others in a similar situation to you then it may be you write a post in a different part of the forum. 

    We do have information on our website about living after skin cancer and protecting your skin. that may be helpful. The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) has also produced this leaflet on BCC if useful to read through.
