hi , I have had a partial mastectomy and sentinel node removed and tested. I have been told that they have got all the cancer and it hasn't spread to the nodes in the arm. my question is why would I now be sent for a ct scan
I am sorry to hear about the treatment you have recently had for breast cancer.
Unfortunately as no one here is directly involved in your care we cannot say why they have now arranged a CT scan for you. If the sentinel node tested is positive for cancer cells they may just be wanting to be thorough but I suggest you ask your breast care nurse directly.
