Someone in my family has terminal cancer. They have been fitted with a syringe driver and it’s on the highest strength of relief. They are apparently hallucinating. How long do they have left?
Unfortunately, we can't give you very specific information on their situation, as we are not providing direct clinical care. That is something that the community palliative care team looking after them can comment on. Usually, someone's outlook (prognosis) is limited, if they are becoming more frail, and not eating or drinking very much.
