Lobular Breast Cancer

Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer, I've had mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy and am waiting for an MRI.

Around the same time I felt a lump in my right breast, approx 8 weeks ago now, I also started to feel pain in my right leg, not excruciating pain but uncomfortable which would wake me up through the night, it's ongoing.

Is this something I should mention to my consultant?  and if so should I mention before the MRI?

Thank you

  • Hello Alli-gator and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and appreciate awaiting further tests and what they might show can be a worry.

No one here can if the pain you are experiencing in your leg is related tot he cancer or something else. This does need to be mentioned to your doctor so they can assess you and decide if you need any other tests.

I wish you all the best  but please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
