Being referred.

  • I guess an appointment with your GP would be the place to start.

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

We have information on our website about family history and breast cancer

In this section, it suggests that you first speak to your GP, and provide details of your family members with breast cancer.

They can assess you, and then if appropriate, reefer you to a genetics clinic for an assessment.

    I hope that this helps,

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Yours sincerely,

    Vanda
