Neuroendocrine cancer stomach spread to liver

What would happen if I didn't have treatment got diagnosed two weeks ago, mental health spiralling out of control don't want treatment can I refuse

  • Hello Babebambi and thank you for your post

I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. This is understandably a worrying time for you but do speak with your own team about any concerns you have about treatment.

Every cancer is different in location as well as it's size and the way it behaves and grows. Therefore what may happen for 1 person when deciding not to have treatment will look very different to someone else. It will only be your own specialist doctor who can say what to expect if you do or don't decide have treatment and how quickly things may develop.

Whilst the thought of having treatment can be unnerving it is important to get as much information as possible about this to make the best decision for you moving forward.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Wishing you all the best

    Take care

    Naomi
