  • Hello and thank you for your 2 posts.

I am very sorry to hear about your migraine headaches and associated symptoms. When you get a migraine attack it must be an unsettling situation so I can appreciate your concern that something else might be causing them. It is good that you have been to your GP about them and that you have been referred to have an MRI scan of your head.

The results of the MRI will give more information about the headaches you have been getting. However, you do not necessarily have cancer. I say this because the symptoms of a brain tumour are also the same symptoms you can get with a migraine.

You may wish to contact the Migraine Trust for more information and support.

I also hope you have support and help at home with your young children or can think of things that will occupy them while you take the advice of your GP as much as you can. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

    Caroline
