Hello and thank you for posting.
I am sorry that you are experiencing this pain in your ear flap site.
It can take a while for everything to settle down after surgery, but it may be if this is new for you you could contact someone on your hospital team. It is not unusual for pain to be triggered by cold weather so it may be that you need to be prescribed some appropriate painkillers. Sometimes nerves can be affected in flap surgeries and nerve (neuropathic) painkillers need to be used for a while.
Whatever the reason for this discomfort it is best to let someone know so you can be assessed and a plan decided for you.
If you scroll down on this page from Macmillan it talks about pain and numbness that can happen after surgery to the head and neck area.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Sarah.
