I think so too, but think I maybe should get the dressing changed.

Sorry the nurses won't be able to reply today as they are not online until tomorrow but Jenny3109 has given you some good advice that it would be a good idea to make contact with someone today and get this looked at as soon as possible if you can. You can also ring 111 for out of hours advice on what to do in this situation. 

I hope you can see someone today and that this gets sorted quickly.

Thank you, itching has reduced since I peeled the plaster back a bit. Might give it a couple of hours and see how it goes. If it gets any worse or doesn't improve, I'll go to a&e

I am sorry to hear that you require a PORT for cancer treatment.

I cannot provide medical advice as I am not part of your team. However, it seems that you may be allergic to the plaster covering the wound.

Do you have a specialist nurse who may be able to arrange a dressing change at the surgical unit? Are you able to call your GP and have a practice nurse assess the wound?

It is advisable to seek medical attention sooner rather than later if you are unable to access your specialist nurse or GP practice, then visiting A&E would be an appropriate option.

If you are allergic to the wound covering then please remind the hospital staff to document it in your notes.
