Hi there
My mum went into hospital last Sunday struggling to breath. We thought was a chest infection. After 3 days she was in her own when they told her she has lung cancer and an aneurysm, has a massive around 5cm. They have clinically diagnosed her from cy scan x-ray and ultrasound. They have said to her they have referred her for palliative care and McMillan nurses, because mum said he didn't want chemo, so they won't do a biopsy.
We feel totally lost and unable to speak to a doctor as never there at visiting hours. Mum oxygen levels are playing up and she has been on oxygen since she was admitted. She just wants to come home, after trying to deal and understand all what she was told on her own.
Do you know if there is anyway we can find out what type of cancer or stage without biopsies, mum is frail and scared of this
Thanks
Nicki
