I am sorry you are having problems with nerve (neuropathic) pain. It may be that your doctor can refer you to see a palliative care nurse/doctor as they are symptom management specialists so they can review, assess, and prescribe something that may help.
Neuropathic pain can take a while to get right, as the medications work slightly differently from traditional painkillers. They need to build up in the system, doses changed, and sometimes have other medications added in.
