I was diagnosed 12 months ago after having breast cancer but haven't had any information about how to cope with the pain I am having or what to expect regarding my mobility.

Hi Evit and thank you for your post
Thank you for your enquiry. I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It does sound like this is a difficult time for you. If you have a specialist nurse at the hospital I would suggest you speak with them. They are part of your hospital team and are the best people to advise you on pain relief.
There is information on the UK breast cancer charity Breast Cancer Now website about breast cancer with bone metastasis. They also have information on pain relief and secondary (metastatic) breast cancer which you might find helpful.
Secondary bone cancer patients are often prescribed bisphosphonates. These are medications that strengthen the bones and can help with bone pain. Do discuss this with your hospital team.
If you are having difficulty with your mobility or any activities of daily living, your hospital team can refer you to a physiotherapist and occupational therapist. They can assess your needs and provide appropriate aids to help you.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Tina
Thanks Tina,I will look into your advice.
