Hello, I have been told that post breast lumpectomy 3 separate tumours were identified rather than one. Still waiting for HER2 results as all were sent for testing again. Has anyone else been in this situation?
I am sorry to hear about your situation and imagine this is a worrying time for you.
There are times that patients can come out the other side of surgery with a slightly different diagnosis from what they first went in with. This can be difficult to take in but try not to overthink things for now until you have spoken with your team and have all the facts.
