Hello Michele56 and thanks for the post
I am sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate what an anxious time this must be for you.
At the moment it sounds like the doctors are running all their checks on your vital organs to make sure everything is working as it should be before starting chemotherapy.
I am sure they will book you in for chemo as soon as they can. This will be once all the results are in and they are happy to proceed. Unfortunately we cannot give a time frame for this so do ask your specialist nurse (if you have one) or oncologist when you can. Some patients find it helpful to call the oncologists secretary through the hospitals main switchboard for information if they have no other contact numbers given to them.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
All the best,
Naomi
