  • Hello and thank you for posting.

I am sorry you have all this going on for you. A lot to deal with.

Many changes can happen to the skin, and a dermatologist is best placed to say what may be happening to you. Even if this is a skin cancer there are several types which are all different in how they behave and how they are treated.

At the moment you are in the waiting stage for information which I know is hard, but until the specialist sees you it is difficult to say what may be going on so we can't say how it would be treated,

We do have information on skin cancers on our website if this is helpful to read but do remember at the moment you do not have a diagnosis.

Take care and if you find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline the number is Freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Sarah.
