Follicular lesion thyroid

I had a PET/CT scan done to investigate a mass on my lung.

The PET/CT also found "a discrete focus of increased FDG uptake centred in the left para-midline of thyroid (SUVmax 4.1)" so a fine needle aspiration (FNA) was done. The FNA identified a follicular lesion.

My query is does this mean that I may have thyroid cancer?

    I am afraid we cannot tell you what the results of your scan and biopsy mean. This needs to come from the doctor who referred you to have them done.
