Bulky cervix and lession on the liver

Last month, I have been recently been diagnosis with invasive lobular cancer.  On my CT stage scan it shows a bulky cervix 36mm by 38mm.  I have been waiting for my polyps to be removed since October. Also  they find  an indermenant  a lession of the liver ( been explained they are like moles but on the outside of the skin ) I am due to the see the Gynaecologist next week  and waiting for a liver MRI scan.

Are polyps & builky cervix the same thing. I am trying not to google to much but cant help it as mind wanders !!

thank you

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

Cervical polyps can occur on the surface of the cervix, and to the side. Cervical polyps can cause bleeding and discomfort when they enlarge, but are usually benign and rarely cancer.  A bulky cervix is a description, and not a diagnosis in itself.

So, in theory, a large polyp can make the cervix seem bigger on imaging. But, I can't tell you for sure what they mean. I don't think this is related to your other health conditions/concerns.

I can appreciate that you have alot going on at the moment, but try to not over worry about this, as I am sure that you will get to find out more specific information soon.

    Wishing you the best,

    Vanda

  • Thank  you.
