Does anyone know the best way to manage skin lesions? My sisters back is all open wounds, very painful and blistery constantly bleeding. Is there any cream/ ointment anything to help calm it or help deal with the pain?

Hello and thank you for posting,
I am sorry that your sister is struggling with her lesions. I think it would be good to get them reviewed by a doctor. If she has contact details for someone in her hospital team, like a specialist nurse (CNS), or if she normally deals with her GP, do give them a call. They will be able to review and hopefully prescribe some appropriate medication, or even refer to a specialist team who can make suggestions on what to use at this time.
Lymphoma action has information on skin lesions and different treatments used which may be helpful, but her team who knows her will know what will be best.
In the meantime, I would urge her to regularly take over-the-counter painkillers as directed to help.
Take care and I hope you have some support whilst caring for your sister. If you find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline the number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Sarah.
