I can imagine that this must have been unsettling for you all.

Without being involved in your dad's care it is difficult to be able to comment on his situation.

Looking at the bladder through a scope is usually a much better way of assessing the health of the bladder. I can't say why the tumours were not seen but the scan would given the surgeon an idea where in the bladder the tumours were seen. I am sure that this is the area that the surgeon was looking at.

It is good that they are rechecking his bladder in a months time where hopefully they will be able to find out more or help rule out cancer.

I am not sure whether your dad was referred to the urologist because of symptoms he was experiencing. The doctors take all of this in to account when trying to diagnose someone.
