What's the best further steps?

  • Hi  Ajokem and thank you for your post.

I am sorry, but as nurses, we are not qualified to diagnose or interpret scans.

Treatment options would depend on several factors, including whether or not cancer is present. If cancer is detected, the choice of treatment will depend on its grade and stage.

The best person to advise you would be the one who requested the scan, either your GP or hospital specialist.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    kind regards,

    Tina
