Hello there and thanks for the post
I appreciate how daunting it can be starting a new treatment and not knowing how it will affect you.
Whilst most treatments have a list of possible side effects how it affects one person can look different to someone else.
Unfortunately no one can say for sure how you will be taking Tivozanib ( I think this is the drug you are due to have) but we have information about Tivozanib on the CRUK 'about cancer' section of our website.
Most patients having treatment won't go on to get every side effect but it is important to be aware of the most common ones. You can then be best prepared and let your team know if you have problems so they can help you manage these.
I hope this is helpful. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Best wishes,
Naomi
