I am sorry to learn that you are worried about your health.

Cancer Research UK primarily funds research and clinical trials, so I'm afraid we cannot provide a medical opinion.

We always encourage people to go back and discuss their symptoms with their GP, especially if they are persisting or getting worse. The doctor will then reassess and decide if you need to be referred to a specialist or have further investigation.  In most cases, the symptoms will be caused by something else other than cancer.

If you feel unhappy with the care your GP is offering then you can request to see another GP in the practice for a second opinion. Maybe your GP can refer you to a dietician to discuss your weight fluctuations.
