Could someone help me with how I go about going to a&e and telling them about my lump
Hi Ryan74,
Our nurses will respond shortly to your message as they will be back online tomorrow but the NHS website has information on when to go to A&E. It mentions that A&E (accident and emergency) is for serious injuries and life-threatening emergencies only. If you are not sure what to do and want to speak to someone out of hours, ring 111 who will be able to help and point you in the right direction. You seem to be worried about having symptoms of testicular cancer so I would contact your GP tomorrow and book an appointment if you can to be seen by a doctor.
Best wishes,

Hello Ryan, and thank you for posting.
I am sorry you are worried about testicular cancer and the lump you have found.
As we are nurses we are unable to assess and diagnose you. Anyone who has concerns about their health does need to go to their GP and talk through the changes. They will then review you and decide what further investigation is needed. If you have already been to the doctors and remain concerned maybe see a different GP.
Do remember doctors are used to assessing this type of thing, so if they thought ultrasound was needed they would be referring you, but maybe explain your concerns about cancer. There are other reasons for testicular lumps and bumps, like cysts , Here is some more information about scrotal lumps, pain and swelling
You have mentioned going to A and E in your further posts but this is more for emergencies, so do give your doctor surgery a call, go on the app or go along and make an appointment with them.
Take care Ryan, and I hope things get sorted for you soon.
Sarah.
