Back in November I had coil fitted, attempted polyp removal found in an internal scan (which couldn’t be located), d and c and also several biopsies. CT scan today and an urgent appointment with gynaecologist. The biopsy found placenta nodule in my uterus which this gynaecologist has never seen in her entire career within this field. Will not know anything further until CT scan results however, I have been given a MacMillan contact who I have not been able to reach yet. Worst case scenario is the placenta nodule is feeding off some kind of tumour from the ovaries or the nodule will need to be removed so possibly looking at an hysterectomy. I would just like to know if anymore light can be shed on where a placenta nodule feeds from if I am not pregnant, how does this exist in a place that it should’n’t be? Thank you.
