Hi, I've had quadrantectomy and since I've been unable to walk due to extensive nerve pain all down my right side into my foot. It's a mystery would you have any ideas? I'm wheelchair bound as I'm not able to walk now.

Hello and thanks for posting,
I am assuming that you are referring to quadrantectomy breast surgery. Unfortunately, I can't throw any specific light onto this for you.
Sometimes people can have irritated back nerves, after certain positioning on a operating theatre table during surgery. I am not sure of your circumstances, but if it's not resolving, then seek advice from your GP or Hospital team. There is specific pain medication to help nerve pain that can be prescribed. You may also benefit from a physiotherapy assessment. Your GP may consider ordering an MRI scan for sciatica or back issues.
I hope that you get help with this soon,
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
