Hello and thanks for your post
I see that you already eat a high fibre diet, are exercising and are drinking enough fluids.
The NHS website have some tips on how to help constipation here
Do talk to your GP, or your specialist nurse if these measures do not help much, as sometimes laxative medication is needed.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Celene
Hello Celine
Thank very much for your reply which was very helpful. I did, as you suggested, speak to a member of the Oncology Team and they prescribed some laxatives which have been very helpful in sorting things out! They said that the anti sickness medication maybe the main culprit! I do feel more confident now I can have more control over things in the future. Thank you again for your advice.
