I am sorry to hear about the itching your husband is having, this must be distressing.
It looks like he may be diagnosed with lymphoma so please do go back to his specialist team, in particular his nurse to let them know. They may be able to find out why it is happening and treat it.
Also, I am not sure if this will help but if your husband has not done this already he may wish to check that nothing is irritating his skin, such as washing powder, shower gel, bed linen, etc. Because if he has had treatment this may make his skin more sensitive.

My partner had really itchy armpits before he was diagnosed with lymphoma and this is a common symptom which we found out later. He's had itchy armpits since being diagnosed too, nothing really helped massively to be honest apart from itching the area. We did try Sanex in the shower as it's fragrance free so it won't irritate the skin as much as other shower gels, keep the skin well moisturised but just watch what you are using, not too many chemicals etc x
