NRBCs

I have regular blood tests prior to my chemo and U had an elevated count of NRBCs in a few bloid tests. Then it was normal..then slightly raised again. Im always told that my bloid results are normal but Ive googled this and it says a raised level is never normal!

Can anyone explain to me why this is happening? Could it be a side effect of the chemo

Anne.

  • Hi Anne, and thank you for your post

Unfortunately, we cannot give a medical opinion or interpret test results, as we are not involved in your care. The best person to discuss your blood results with would be your specialist or nurse specialist (CNS) or perhaps your GP, as they know your situation.

If there are any abnormalities in your blood that your medical team is concerned with they will let you know and whether or not this would affect your treatment.

I am sorry I cannot be more helpful on this occasion but do speak to your medical team.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care, all the best
