Small pea sized lumps in neck

Hi, I’m a 20 year old female who has got 4 small pea sized lumps under the skin in my neck, they are not visible I only know they’re there from touch. They are moveable but painless and haven’t grown since I found them in 2020, they are hard but can be moved around under my fingers, one is near my collar bone and the others are near my hairline. Of course I google and then start to think the worst, could they just be lymph nodes that haven’t gone down?

  • Hello miagracex and thanks for the post

I am sorry to hear you are worried about these lumps you can feel around your neck.

Whilst no one here can say for sure what they are, if you have had the for several years and they haven't changed or grown in that time, they are unlikely to be anything to worry about.

Some people who are very thin can feel their lymph nodes and other structures in the body so this could be one reason for these little lumps.

If you remain concerned or are having any other ongoing symptoms then we suggest going to see your GP.

    Best wishes

    Naomi
