I'm not sure how long you have been advised to follow a low fibre diet for.

To be on the safe side I think it would be sensible for you to check with one of the health care professionals looking after you, such as your bowel specialist nurse or your GP, who are familiar with all your medical details. They will advise you on whether it is safe for you to gradually increase your fibre intake, and they can also advised on bowel medication such as stool softeners if this is needed.

I too have been put on a low fibre diet and was told to remain on it u til next scan to see if tumour has shrunk. They are worried about bowel obstruction but the low fibre is tough to follow, especially if like me, you previously enjoyed a fibre diet! I have been taking Mobicol, on oncologists advice to keep bowel movements regular and 'easy'. Game changer!
