Is there a cure for leukaemia yet? I am aware that there are many different treatments and that these can result in remission, but I vaguely remember my consultant stating that as of today there is no cure.
It is very difficult to be too specific about your question as there are many different types of leukaemia and in a lot of situations leukaemia can be cured or controlled for may years.
Every case is very different. It depends on the type of leukaemia, the age of the patient and how they respond to any treatment.
