Hello and thanks for posting,
I am not sure why you have asked this question. This may be in relation to someone you know who has acute leukaemia, or if you are concerned yourself with some symptoms you may be experiencing.
Anybody with acute leukaemia would usually be in a hospital, as they would probably be very unwell. Even if active treatment such as chemotherapy is not possible, then a person may be given blood transfusions, and supportive treatments, to help with symptoms and improve their quality of life. Leukaemia can progress quickly if not treated, so the outlook may be a few weeks or months, this can vary from individual to individual depending on the circumstances.
I hope that this is useful,
Best wishes,
Vanda
