Change of treatments and effects

I was having chemo last year however my heart failed to 11% so that had to stop I am now on anastrozole and zoladex injections and have been for 6 months, it has now become apparent my liver is failing and every single day I just feel so ill, nausea headache, no energy or get up and go, everything tires me out and I feel more weak than I did during chemo, is this normal?

  • Hello and thank you for your post,

I am sorry to learn of your situation, it sounds like you are having a difficult time with the symptoms you are experiencing.

I cannot say for certain but these may be related to your medication, and you may have done this already but it is worth speaking with your breast specialist or breast care nurse (CNS) about how you are feeling. They may need to reassess your situation and medication.

You mention your liver is failing. I wasn't sure of your exact situation if you have been told why this is happening and if the team at the hospital is aware of this. It might also be a good idea to speak with your GP as well.

I hope you can get some help soon. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Yours sincerely,

    Jemma
