Missed polyp in colonoscopy

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in nov 22, and had a anterior bowel resection in jan 23. I’ve been having pain in my lower right hand bowel for a while now. I had my first survaillence colonoscopy today, as he reached the cecum (where my pain is) I saw what I thought was something suspicious, it looked like a sessile polyp, he didn’t see anything, so I didn’t say anything. And now I’m at home panicking and kicking myself for not asking about it. What can I do now? Can I have a second colonoscopy? Do they take pics someone can look at? I know I sound crazy. But I’m convinced I saw one. Thanks

    It can take the bowel several months to settle down following surgery. If you haven’t already do let your doctors know that you are still experiencing pain. They can assess you and advise you further.

    If the doctor doing the colonoscopy was concerned in any way, they would have discussed this with you. I say this because they are experts in their field.

    If you are still worried and do not feel reassured perhaps you should go back to the GP to talk about your concerns. Usually, they would get a summary letter from the hospital with any test results and the conclusions of the specialist team.
