Hi, my daughter had cin1 in 2021 and biopsy. After an MDT meeting they said repeat smear in 6month (june22)which come back all clear and next smear in 3yr. She has just got a text from her GP saying smear overdue and now she is panicking. Do you think this is just a mistake or a monitoring for her. I tried to say it's a good thing because if there is anything they can catch it quick. She is worried as she was wanting to start a family later this year.

    It looks like your daughter has been returned to the 3 yearly National cervical screening programme and they have gone from when she took part in it in 2021.  The appointment she had in 2022 would have been additional in line with the screening protocol for abnormal results. 

    I would tell your daughter not to worry, but if she is very concerned she could check this out with the colposcopy clinic or her GP.  Also, by going to her screening appointment she is reducing her risk of getting cervical cancer.
