Hi I have just had the phone call to say my cervix is bulky? an mmr scan is going to be organised ,,, I’m slightly worried to say the least could this be anything other than cancer ? Thankyou in advance
I am afraid I do not know what they mean by the term bulky cervix, but it does not necessarily mean it is cancer causing your symptoms. Other non-cancerous conditions may well be the cause, for example, cervical fibroids. However, I do appreciate waiting to have tests, and the results can be a worrying time.
Try not to overthink things, for some people, it can be helpful to distract themselves during this time either by working or doing activities they enjoy, like meeting friends or going for walks.

Hi Jemma thank you for your reply I know it’s best to try not to worry too much but the amount of time it takes for appointments to come in is frustrating ,,, I’m with you Bulky cervix is not someth g I’ve heard before nothing is ever in plain English ,,, I’ve got more blood tests in 2 weeks to check inflammation markers and crp which have been elevated for the past 7 months ,,, fingers crossed the scan comes soonish
