  • Hi and thank you for your post,

I am sorry to learn that your mum has breast cancer, this must be a difficult time for you all.

You mentioned your mum has an appointment at the breast clinic next week. I wondered if she has a breast care nurse (CNS) whom you could contact beforehand to discuss her symptoms, as they may want to see her before then. You may need to leave a message on the answering machine and they should get back to you as soon as possible. Or it might be worth getting an appointment with her GP, as they may be able to give her something to help with the sickness she is feeling.

I hope this helps. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care, all the best

    Jemma
