Tamoxifen post menopause side effects

I was diagnosed with Stage 2A (not in lymph nodes) Grade 2 DCIS and IDC (2.1cms). I have had WLEB and SLNB July 2023, a re-excision to clear margins Aug 2023, and radiotherapy over 5 days finished Nov 2023.

My concern is about the side effects of Tamoxifen. I have just got back to normal life after a miserable menopause, hence my concern. I have yet to start the medication (prescription for 5 years) but would like to know if I start taking the pills, and stop after a month because side effects are unbearable, will all side effects disappear?

I hope that this is a reasonable question.

Many thanks
