Hello Delboy08
I am so sorry for the delay in getting back to you, unfortunately the system didn't notify us of your post sooner.
A UTI or any type of infection in someone who is sadly dying of cancer isn't good. Of course antibiotic treatment can help to try and clear the infection but it does depend on how severe the infection is when it is picked up.
I am sorry once again to hear about your aunt and not getting in touch until now but please do get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Naomi
