I was unsure of your reason for wanting to have your breast removed (mastectomy), whether you were concerned that the cancer might come back in the breast or if it was because the breasts were unequal after the treatment you had.
It would be best to discuss this with your breast care nurse (CNS) or the breast specialist, as they know your situation and can discuss any concerns you may have. They will be able to advise you whether it is possible to have a mastectomy on the NHS or whether this can only be done privately.
