I am so sorry to hear about the pain and discomfort your husband is feeling. 

I would get hold of whoever is easier to contact so you can get effective pain relief for your husband as quickly as possible.

If you have a haematology nurse then do speak to them about the pain than he is getting. If it is a new type of pain particularly in his back they may want to assess him particularly if he has recently had radiotherapy. Both his haematology nurse and his GP should have up to date information on the pain medication he has been on so they should be able to advise you on what he should take next.

Thank you for your message. I did read that peppermint tea might help.  I will let him know that you have said. We are seeing his consultant who did his back surgery before Christmas.

The radiotherapy review isn't for about 6 weeks. 

I will make sure he tells them.
