I can't say whether the pain is connected to your lump.

For your own reassurance and as it is a few weeks until your surgery I would go and discuss this with your GP. It is very easy to assume that every ache and pain may be because of your recent diagnosis but this is not always the case. Try not to over think it for now and hopefully when you see your GP they will be able to put your mind at rest.
