  • Hello Wes12 and thanks for posting

I am so sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate how worried you must be.

Sadly cancer isn't selective and it affects people of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles i'm afraid.

I am assuming the spots on your lungs are secondary lung cancer (spread from the kidney cancer) rather than primary lung cancer which is different. You can read more about this here.

I don't know what the specialist team you are under are planning in terms of treatment for you but it is important to ask them any questions you have to get as much information you need to understand more about what this means.

Do let your team know how you are feeling so they can help make sure you get the support you need at this time. There are cancer support centres attached to most cancer treatment hospitals, this is where patients and their loved ones can pop in to talk things through and get some additional help and support along the way. You can search up some of these here. There are also Maggie centres up and down the country but these also offer online support to those who don't have a centre nearby and you can take a look at their website at this link.

I hope this is helpful but do get back if you wish to or give one of the nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, week days 9-5.

    Take care

    Naomi
