Radiotherapy is a cancer treatment, it can be used for many different types of cancer. It also be used for non-cancerous conditions such as benign (non-cancerous) brain tumours.
Usually, people are told why they need to have treatment and will sign a consent form before it starts. So please do get back to your hospital team to find out why you needed to have radiotherapy.
