Treatment after surgery

Hi I will be having a neck lymph node removed to enable better path’ lab testing after my biopsy was inconclusive. It’s thought that I might have low grade lymphoma. My question is will I have to have treatment such as radiotherapy after surgery even though they have removed the lumpy lymph node or will the surgery remove the need? Thanks

  • Hello Paul and thanks for your post

It’s not possible to say if you will need further treatment such as radiotherapy after your lymph node surgery. This will depend on whether you have lymphoma and if you do then the type and stage (extent) of it will determine if further treatment is needed.

Your specialist team will be better placed to advise you further on this once your results are known.
