CDX Positive

My last endometrial biopsy taken states: Two detached squamous modules showing CDX positive. ER negative. Squamous modules can be seen in begin or malignant conditions including atypical endometrial hyperplasia and carcinoma.

Can anyone explain what CDX is? And what is Squamous Modules please? Thank you

  • Hello Nattahlee and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear you are undergoing some tests and it is best to speak with your own doctor about your results and what they are planning on doing next for you in your case.

We can't interpret test results i'm afraid but the term squamous Morules refers to a type of abnormality found in the overgrowth of the tissues detected in the endometrial lining.  The CDX stands for a type of protein that can be found in some endometrial tissue lesions that can be linked to either benign ( non cancer ) or malignant ( cancer) conditions.

As I say it is best to talk these results through with your doctor to find out what needs to happen next.

I hope you know more soon. Do get back if needed or alternatively give us a call on the helpline. We're here weekdays ( excluding bank holidays) 9-5 on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes

    Naomi
