Waking up at night fever and vomiting

Hey, I’m really struggling to get help or get answers from my gastroenterologist but really feel my body is trying to tell me something. I keep waking up at night every few weeks with a fever and vomiting. Other times I have intense stomach pain and loose stools. Is there anything I can do to get more help? Can this be a cancerous symptom? I’ve had blood tests and H1AA 24hr urine sample but nothing for a few months and I can’t get a return call from my gastroenterologist. Thank you.

  • Hello Hannah 216 thank you for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your distressing symptoms.

It is very difficult without being involved in your care  to comment on your situation.

If you are under the care of the gastroenterologist then I would persist in trying to get another appointment. You may also find it helpful to talk this through with your GP. Any tests that you have had in the past will have been sent to your GP. They may be able to get in touch with your specialist to let them know about your on going symptoms.

You could also contact PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) and they may be able to look in to this for you. Have a look at their details here

I do hope that you know more about your situation.

    All the best,

    Catherine
